Calls and emails about conservatory pricing are quite common. Often, we’re asked the cost per square foot. While we can give a very general ballpark figure for a particular size, each project is unique. A custom designed conservatory built for your home and tastes.
It is only possible to properly quote a conservatory with a design. We work with many architects, but also offer our design services. We use the experience of over 1000 projects to achieve our design philosophy that the conservatory look as though it was always part of the original home or grounds.
How to Get Pricing for a Conservatory
A) We can create a conservatory design with photographs and basic dimensions provided by you for a $2,500 fee, which can be applied toward the project.
B) If you have an architect or designer involved, and they have done basic dimensions or preliminary concepts, we can estimate with what they have drawn or collaborate with them toward a design without a fee.
C) We can visit you to discuss the project in person for a fee of $3,500 plus the cost of travel. In addition to discussing your project, we will take photos of the intended area of construction and take all the site dimensions. For Pool Enclosures or unusually large or complex projects, our design fee will be $4,500-5,000. We provide a fully developed design with floor plans, elevations and a three dimensional rendering.
Starting a Conservatory Design for Pricing
When you provide photos of your proposed conservatory location, we will ask you to provide key dimensions that start the process. The examples here show that with a few simple measurements, we can quickly conceive an idea for your project. We can do a complete design or work with your design professional to finalize a design and provide a firm estimate.
A) Please provide clear photos of all sides of your home so we can get an idea of the architectural style.
B) If you are certain of the conservatory or orangery location, please provide a photo that shows that elevation completely.
C) Please provide some basic dimensions. We can also send back your photo illustrated with the dimensions that we need. Not to worry, all dimensions will be verified later, so do not be concerned about extreme accuracy. Furthermore, important dimensions at the conservatory location are height and width of the attaching wall, eave overhang and openings on the wall such as windows and doors. Finished floor level of adjoining room relative to the ground or patio level is very helpful.
