Town & Country Conservatories has been chosen to build a penthouse conservatory on a Park Avenue roof top in New York City. Our building has been approved by the New York City Landmarks Preservation Commission and the resident coop board.
Designed in cooperation with Heather Faulding Architecture, the free-standing conservatory will be built in a rectangular shape with a hipped roof.
The conservatory will feature a number of Town & Country’s decorative and functional options, including French style doors on to the main roof deck, a classic Georgian glazing pattern, decorative internal and external pilasters and ogee profile rafters.
Motorized roof vents with remote and temperature controls, along with high-performance Low-E glass and top-hung outward opening windows will provide passive ventilation alongside a sophisticated HVAC system.
Internally the conservatory will encompass a dramatic stair entry from the main penthouse floor below. Interior design details are by Rod Winterrowd.
