This beautiful orangery in the London borough of Dulwich replaced a Machin conservatory which had fallen into disrepair. The original had been built at ground level with five internal steps that reduced floor space and disrupted the flow from the house into the conservatory.
The new design elevates the orangery. The integration of home and conservatory creates a commanding view of the garden and beyond into Dulwich Park. With our recommendation, the owners moved the doors from the middle of the room to an elevated terrace entrance at the side. This maximizes living space, creates an easy transition to the garden, and allows for an inviting space for alfresco dining.
